MAY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND

Richard took me down to the old rowing club. It's all new! I would have never thought in the days of capsizing and changing in a bush that the club would have a place not only to store their boats but a kitchen and toilets too!! It really is very impressive with a floating jetty, two rescue boats and a boat house full of boats.

Richard has also done a stunning job of painting Oundle Town Rowing Clubs colours on all the ores.
Val and I also had a good time this weekend. And I got my new "baby" as she calls it! The Internet seems to be working a million times better too which is great. But for now I just want to go to bed. I have another early start and I don't feel particularly keen about it at the moment. I know it will be fine once I get there. And if not... at least it is only a 4 day week. :)

5:30 AM TIL 11 PM

(Painting lesson)

Dolly Parton had it easy. I am working 5:30 a.m. til 11 p.m. as many days of the week that I can stay awake that late. This course is getting tough. Last week two girls in my class at the university dropped out. One of them is a good friend. We all can't wait to have our lives back.

I've been making no end of resources for lessons, typing lesson plans, marking work, writing about the work I've marked (and then writing the same thing in a different format!), evaluating my professional development, then writing about all the standards I have met for the week (and writing it all over again in another format!). I am really, really tired. I love the job but its hard work - this year has been grueling.
